An ADHD assessment aims to determine whether you meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD by thoroughly examining your current symptoms, developmental history, and how these difficulties impact your life.

What does the assessment involve?
Here’s what to expect at each stage of the ADHD assessment process.
Booking your assessment
Full payment is required at the time of booking. You’ll receive access to comprehensive psychological questionnaires and intake forms that are essential components of the diagnostic process.
After the intake session
Your diagnostic session takes up to 3 hours and involves a comprehensive clinical interview online via video-conference. Together, we’ll explore your developmental history, current symptoms, and how they impact your daily functioning to determine whether you meet diagnostic criteria.
Your report and next steps
Receive a full report (and feedback session) or summary report with insights and recommendations.
How long does it take?
Adult ADHD assessments usually take several hours, often split over two or more sessions (online via video conference). The exact duration depends on the package you select and your individual needs.
Is an assessment necessary?
While an assessment isn’t essential for everyone, it is highly recommended if you’re experiencing challenges with attention, impulsivity, or organisation that affect your daily life. A thorough assessment provides more than just a diagnosis, it offers clarity about your experiences and helps you understand what’s going on beneath the surface.
By completing an assessment, you can:

What happens after the assessment?
You’ll receive a report or summary letter that outlines the findings from your assessment. This includes a clear explanation of whether you meet the criteria for ADHD, along with recommendations tailored to your needs.
If ADHD is identified, we’ll provide practical next steps, such as therapy options, referral pathways, or strategies to support focus, organisation, and emotional regulation at home, work, or in study settings.
If ADHD is not diagnosed, the report will still offer meaningful insights into your cognitive and emotional functioning, and may highlight other areas that are contributing to your experiences. We’ll discuss alternative explanations and provide suggestions for further support, whether through therapy or other services.
